Turn your WHY into a MUST!

At heart, we are all storytellers. Each day we wake up and our actions and the choices we make form our life’s narrative.

Choices we have made form memories that live on and play out in our minds and with those memories, lessons are logged.

As more of our narrative unfolds like ‘box sets’, sometimes we have to revisit a season for a recap, otherwise, the knowledge will be lost or even forgotten. Film allows us to capture our life lessons, tell those stories to others and serves as a tool to pass on the baton.

Filmed stories can come in various forms, such as a real-life documentary or an allegory of a life-changing principle. As we watch these stories we become stronger. It’s as if film serves as a modern-day library. Fiction to fact, facts told through fiction and fiction bringing life to fact.

I believe we all have a purpose and we have two primary responsibilities in life: To discover purpose and then to live it. Film documents purpose and encourages others to go and live it, retelling the stories of yesteryear to inspire a new generation to go after their hopes and dreams.

As a child, I always wanted to be the hero in the story but as I get older, I find that the real reward is in guiding others to play out their narrative.

The Obi-Wan or Mr Miyagi character is a mentor, leader or master. His role is built on serving others and to some extent that is what film can do. Ensuring that life lessons are never lost and curating content that stands the test of time to bring a positive impact.

So, telling your story through film allows you to be the hero to others while guiding and shaping your journey to ensure that other people discover the road less travelled.

Entrepreneurs, Business Owners and Leaders in the industry always work with many people, service many needs, but in reality who takes care of the hero behind the scenes?

As filmmakers we are dedicated to helping you elevate your narrative while helping you celebrate those wins, connecting to other people on your level and ensuring that you capture the journey. Past, Present and Future.

We understand the perfection mentality that high performers live with, but authentic storytelling is about how you have made progress. The journey is AS important as the destination.

While your gifts, talents and abilities have created opportunities, the depth of character is the thing that keeps you going and character is formed under pressure. Your role is to inspire others to roll with the punches, the highs and the lows, the wins and lessons. Our skilled team of film-makers will ensure that nothing gets lost in translation.

Filming in this way can be seen as a therapy journey, as it allows you to take stock of just how far you’ve travelled and how you have embraced difficulty for the greater good.

We have just completed a run of work for Clarendon Fine Art giving insights into the ‘heart’ behind the art. Art has always held a special place in my heart because if it wasn’t for a meeting I had with an artist friend, I would have never spotted the beautiful girl behind the bar almost 23 years ago.

I arrived early at The Merchant Arms, in Bristol and ordered my drink, while I enjoyed the pleasant surroundings, without looking like a stalker.

Once my friend turned up we headed to his home studio and selected a piece of art for my recently renovated room in the shared house where I lived.

The following week, I met the girl behind the bar, or rather, she introduced herself when out and about in Bristol. Back then I had hair and she thought I looked like a Russian Poet (smart look, but not the look I intended), which, for some reason, caught her attention and she remembered me from the week before.

The rest is history, as 23 years ago this weekend is the anniversary of that chance meeting and the painting is still hanging in our home. You may have seen it featured in many of The Purpose People Podcast shots!

Art played a huge part in bringing us together and when we got the opportunity to collaborate with our friends FilmDuo we leaped at the opportunity. We have worked on many projects together and this journey has been one of the highlights for 2023.

These people are living their best life doing what they love and ultimately I believe everyone can. We love people who leave an impact and are a positive influence and film allows us to deepen and widen both of these.

The story of your why deserves to be told and how your WHY is actually a MUST!
