Purple Shoots Business Lending (“Purple Shoots”) is a not-for-profit micro finance organisation and a registered charity. They are THE financial institution for people held back by circumstances, not only offering financial support but also training, mentoring and guidance through every challenge, from finding customers to managing the numbers.

A purpose led approach

The existing website was not written or presented in such a way as to be accessible to Purple Shoots’ clientele. There was no consistent brand and far too much text. The site was speaking to potential investors but not to the people that it was ultimately trying to help.

Finding the right fit

We designed an attractive and accessible brand that reflected the aims of Purple Shoots, ie to uncover hidden entrepreneurs and help people held back by their circumstances. They were essentially helping communities to grow organically. We designed and built a website to reflect their aims and give their main stakeholders (the local people) an accessible experience.

An innovative approach

The website had to be professional and presentable to show that Purple Shoots are a credible organisation. At the end of the day, they are a loans company and the website had to speak to investors as well as to those it was seeking to help.
