Last Minute Christmas Marketing Ideas for Start-ups

That magical time of the year is nearly upon us. Shops are filled with Christmas sales and jingles, and streets are crammed with frantic shoppers. It’s just started to snow on our Cre8ion website, too! For families, Christmas is a time of festivities, fun and holiday cheer. For businesses, Christmas offers a great marketing opportunity. If you haven’t taken advantage of this yet – don’t worry, you’ll make it just in time for Christmas with these simple ideas.

Host a holiday snap competition

Christmas countdown is on, so why not get your social media followers buzzing by hosting a holiday snap competition? Encourage your customers to post their favourite snaps, using a unique hashtag or by linking their posts to your social media account. Announce the winner on Christmas day or offer small give-aways to the best pic of the day. The key is to keep ramping up the volume by posting, sharing and tweeting about your competition several times a day, until you reach that magical day of the year.

‘tis the season to be…generous

If you had to use one word to sum up Christmas, ‘generosity’ would probably be high on your list. Just like children get rewarded for being good, your most loyal customers also deserve some recognition for sticking by your side throughout the year. Create a special sales offer for them, send them a voucher with a personalised thank you card or host a totally free and totally exclusive networking event in the New Year. By rewarding only the most loyal customers, you are likely to get a good return for your investment without splashing out on needless expenses. Make sure you explain that these are all exclusive offers, available only to your most loyal customers – this is sure to get them feeling snug and cosy in the run-up to Christmas!

Stuff their stockings

Getting the shopping list for presents done is one thing, but getting all those stockings stuffed can be a real headache. Who wants to spend loads of money on small trinkets that may not last? This is precisely where you come in. Sympathise with your customers by sending them small stocking trinkets for Christmas, with the logo of your company printed on them. Things like keyrings, pens, and mini notebooks are part of the standard deal. If you’re not too pushed for time, you could go the extra mile and send them something even more special. How about personalising the all-time favourite sweets M&Ms?

We hope that these ideas will get your clients buzzing in the run-up to Christmas. If you’re planning a new marketing strategy for the New Year, then contact us today to discuss how Cre8ion can help make your brand a success beyond Christmas!
